I came here in 1867 and after I had been in business with my Bros. in [these] frontier towns, I opened the first regular Traders store in Fort Wingate in 1868 and [a] few years thereafter was appointed Post Trader at Camp Apache, Ariz. under Grants administration as President of the US in 1871 and in [the] fall of 1872 came to live in Bernalillo. I lived here until 1884 until I left for California, but leaving here at Bernalillo my Bro Joe Bibo, also my two sisters, and my family has always been represented here, for 50 years. Being the accredited Government agent here, I have met here many of [document unreadable from this point].
